Zhao Zhiqian(1829-1884),originally styled Yifu, which was later changed to Huishu; and also called Bei'an, was a native of Kuaiji (present-day Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province). His favourite subjects were flowers, vegetables and fruits. He painted with wet, flowing strokes and in bright and rich colours.
